The Oba Oniru Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service yesterday rescued two male adults in a boat that capsized into the Eko Atlantic Ocean by the Eko Hotel and Suites section of the ocean.
The fire service alongside other State Emergency Responders, with support of a private Boat Catheriner crew were immediately deployed to the accident scene which occurred at 09:12.a.m, to salvage the victims.
The survivors, whose names were given as Seraphin Meto, aged 40 and Sanu Dewan, aged 20, were on a journey from Makoko, Ebute-Meta when the accident happened.
Both victims are in stable condition and are being attended to by appropriate government responders.
Meanwhlie, a fire incident broke out at about 09:48.a.m yesterday at the Craneburg Construction Site-yard, old Julius Berger Yard, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.
The fire, which involved sets of containers used as store, was curtailed from spreading by the Epe ll Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The materials used for road construction were stacked in the container store, as dampening down is ongoing to wrap up the operations. There were no injury or death recorded from the incident.
