The Lagos State Government has scheduled the Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS) for Primary Six pupils on Saturday, 20th July 2024.
This was announced in a statement signed by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, informing the public, parents, and guardians of the upcoming test.
The Director explained that the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), and the Lagos State Examinations Board have all agreed on 20th July 2024 as the final date for the test.
This test is for Primary Six pupils transitioning to Government Public Junior Secondary Schools (JSS1) in the state for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Mr. Orunsolu emphasised the importance of providing children with quality education, stating that giving them such opportunities is essential for realising their future ambitions.
He urged the authorities of public and approved private primary schools in the state to inform parents and guardians of their pupils about the test date to ensure that all eligible pupils participate.
The Director assured stakeholders and parents that no child would be left unattended, and that measures have been put in place to ensure a seamless, hitch-free, and successful exercise.
He also appealed for the cooperation of parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to make the exercise a huge success that all involved will be proud of.
