The Lagos State pilgrims on pilgrimage to Israel will today be airlifted back to Nigeria.
This was disclosed by the Board Secretary of Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mrs. Florence Gbafe on Sunday, 8th October, 2023, during the JP ceremony which signifies the end of the pilgrimage journey.
She said that despite security concerns in some parts of Israel, God preserved the pilgrims from the first day till today, the final day of the pilgrimage activities.
The Board Secretary commended the travelling agency, Tabar Tours, which partnered with the State Government and Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), to provide the best tour experiences for the Pilgrims, saying that the federal government, engaged experienced Tour Guides who understood the geographical topography of all the areas visited and are abreast of happenings in Israel and beyond.
The Board Secretary revealed that the holy pilgrimage which started over a week ago has been very peaceful, insightful and rich in knowledge and Biblical expositions for the pilgrims, expressing confidence that the pilgrims will be returning to Nigeria with Godly testimonies.
Gbafe noted that as the pilgrimage journey is coming to an end for this batch of pilgrims, another batch of pilgrims has also been scheduled to arrive at the holy land on Tuesday, 10th October, 2023 for their own pilgrimage experience and spiritual encounter.
Recall that Lagos State Christian Pilgrims were on Saturday 30th September, 2023, airlifted from Nigeria to the Kingdom of Jordan before the pilgrims moved to Israel to continue the pilgrimage journey after spending some days in Jordan.
