“I want to categorically submit that Tinubu’s case has gone beyond Lagos as most political parties have endorsed him in Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, and Ondo states.”

Senator Dayo Adeyeye, thanked the traditional elders for their support.

He pointed out that the Buhari administration will end in May 2023, and that it is only right that the presidency be allocated to the South-West.

SWAGA’23, Tinubu’s major campaign organization, has already paid visits to the Oni of Ife, Oluwo of Iwo, Alaafin of Oyo, Olubadan of Ibadan, and Alake of Egba, among others.

According to Kafilat Ogbara, Secretary of the Lagos Chapter, the movement is continuing its talks.

“If there was a private meeting between President Buhari and our leader, Tinubu, I wouldn’t know.

“If it was a public APC meeting and I was not there, something must be wrong. I was not told that there was an agreement that power should be handed over to Tinubu,” he said.

Tinubu who has been recuperating in the United Kingdom since July following his surgery has been receiving visitors every week and is deafeningly quiet on the issue of his aspiration.
