The Lagos State Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions has introduced a special in-house program titled ‘Knowledge-Sharing Sessions’ for all employees as part of its innovative approach to empowering employees and making them more productive at work.
During this week’s edition, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Abiodun Onayele, admonished the staff to make the most of the program, emphasizing that it is unique and peculiar to the Ministry since others have not had the opportunity to organize a similar program for their employees.
Since the program began a month ago, he added, most members of staff have benefited greatly from it because of its value-laden qualities, adding that the issues covered health, professional, social, and economic sectors.
The Director of Training, Mrs Lolade Aina, welcomed members of the Ministry’s personnel to the week’s edition of the early morning breakfast program and stated that the program began as a departmental effort and evolved to accommodate all of the Ministry’s staff.
Aina expressed confidence that other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) would want the initiative reproduced in their area as soon as they heard about it, emphasizing the program’s importance and benefit.
The program, which began in September 2021, was created as a weekly interactive session for all ministry employees, regardless of their cadre.
