The Lagos State Government has partnered with the Seun Akapo Initiative to launch a free health insurance scheme for women in the Ikoyi-Obalende area.

This initiative aims to improve healthcare accessibility and ensure no resident is left behind in the state’s mission for better health outcomes.

At the launch event held on Ojo Street, Obalende, a representative of the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), Oluwafemi Omojuwa, urged beneficiaries to embrace the free health insurance scheme.

She reaffirmed LASHMA’s dedication to providing comprehensive healthcare coverage across Lagos.

“I wish to reiterate LASHMA’s commitment to ensuring that every Lagos resident has access to quality healthcare.

We appreciate the Seun Akapo Foundation for this valuable partnership,” Omojuwa said.

Founder of the Seun Akapo Initiative, Dr Oluwaseun Akapo, also praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration for its continuous efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery across the state.

“This initiative, along with various empowerment programmes, is designed to equip beneficiaries with essential skills and opportunities to thrive in today’s society.

In addition to this healthcare scheme, we recently launched the Top Scholars Education Empowerment Initiative, supporting over 100 outstanding students from various schools,” Akapo stated.
