During a press conference held on Wednesday, LCCI Vice President and Chairman of the Trade Promotion Board, Abimbola Olashore, announced that this year’s fair is themed: “Connecting Businesses, Creating Value.”

The chamber anticipates this landmark occasion will attract over 1 million visitors, significantly surpassing the 350,000 attendees recorded in 2023.

Olashore attributed the increase in participation to the strategic partnerships and sponsorships developed over the years.

He highlighted that the 2024 LITF will feature a diverse lineup of exhibitors from more than 15 countries, showcasing a wide range of products and services.

The fair will also include several specialised sections, such as The Children’s Corner, sponsored by Tolaram Group, which aims to provide a fun and educational experience for younger visitors.

Furthermore, the LCCI has extended invitations to nearly all 54 African countries, with confirmed participation from nations including Ghana, Rwanda, Cameroon, Benin Republic, and The Gambia.

Olashore noted a strong presence of Chinese exhibitors at the fair, with over 300 companies expected to showcase products in various sectors, including automotive, hardware, textiles, and housewares.

Additionally, the Japan External Trade Organisation will host approximately 100 exhibitors in a dedicated Japanese Hall, further enhancing the event’s international appeal.
