Lagos initiates mentorship programme with 75 counsels

Lagos -Lagospost.ng

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice has initiated a mentorship programme with 75 young counsels who will be attached to senior lawyers, to enhance the capacities of young lawyers.

State counsel (mentees) would have the opportunity to engage with a mentor who will inspire, advise, and support them as they build their careers to improve their leadership abilities, and for them to become exceptional legal professionals over the course of a year.

It was learned that the mentors were chosen based on their depth of expertise, good character, and long-term leadership potential in their respective fields of work over the years.

A statement from the Ministry of Justice thanked the mentors for partnering with the ministry and ”we are excited to see the mentorship outcomes which will evolve from this initiative”.
