The Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be diverted at the Iyana-Isolo overhead bridge between 7 am and 9 am on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
The diversion is to enable the Federal Ministry of Works to investigate the level of deterioration of the overhead bridge, a statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said on Monday.
According to the statement, motorists are advised to avoid the affected part of the highway on the stated date.
Osiyemi stated that commuters can use the alternative routes provided by the ministry.
“Motorists from Mushin en route to Isolo through Daleko are to use Ijeshatedo to connect Cele Roundabout, to access Cele Bridge to Okota Road, to link Mushin Road and continue their journeys.
“Motorists from Isolo en route to Mushin through Daleko Bridge are to use Mushin Road to access Isolo Way to link Airport Road to connect Oshodi to reach their various destinations.
“It should be noted that the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, where the bridge is located, will be open to motorists during the two-hour closure,” Osiyemi said.
