Lagos calls for security collaboration to protect lives, urging patience, orderliness, and innovation to uphold its reputation as a safe state.
The Lagos State Government has urged security agencies to collaborate effectively to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the government also appealed to residents to maintain patience and orderliness in both public and private spaces.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, conveyed this message during a quarterly meeting with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and heads of paramilitary agencies at her office in Alausa, Ikeja.
Salu-Hundeyin reiterated the significance of the “S” pillar in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Developmental Agenda, which focuses on security.
She emphasised that the administration has consistently invested in strategies to bolster the state’s security framework.
“Our security agencies must continuously innovate to keep Lagos at the forefront of safety in Africa.
Cooperation and responsiveness are essential, and we expect all stakeholders to work collaboratively to achieve this,” she stated.
The SSG encouraged security and paramilitary personnel to adopt innovative approaches to enhance their operations and maintain Lagos’s reputation as a secure state.
She commended the PCRC and paramilitary agencies for their ongoing commitment to community safety, while reminding them that achieving greater results demands sustained effort and collaboration.
Addressing the upcoming festive season, Salu-Hundeyin called on security agencies and local councils to adhere to government guidelines for the orderly and fair distribution of palliatives.
She remarked, “The Yuletide season is a time of joy and celebration.
Let us approach it responsibly to preserve the essence of the season. By practising patience, civility, and fairness, we can ensure that resources are distributed efficiently and equitably.”
