‘The Lagos Cocktail Week,’ one of Lagos’ most exciting events, will take place from October 7th to October 16th, 2021. The one-week event comes after a one-year gap caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The founder, award-winning mixologist Lara Rawa, promises that the Lagos Cocktail Week in 2021 will be nothing short of spectacular.

The Lagos Cocktail Week first appeared on the Lagos scene in 2014, and since then, it has annually enthralled many lifestyle enthusiasts and drink brands. It is the first event of its kind, allowing fine-dining connoisseurs to sample Lagos’ finest cocktails and spirits simply by purchasing a ticket.

The Balmoral Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, will host this year’s edition, a perfect location for an event of this calibre.

The organizers of Lagos Cocktail Week have secured some prominent liquor brands as partners, as promised. Cocktail sampling will be available for attendees from Fayrouz, Desperados, Absolut Vodka, Star Radler, Jameson, Olmeca Tequila, Beefeater Gin, Johnnie Walker, Mr Dowell’s, Gordon’s Moringa, and many others. Brass and Copper, Circa Lagos, RSVP, Slow, Orile, Seetle, South Social, Sao cafe, The Cabin, Stories, and Attica are among the top and upscale bars and restaurants participating in the Lagos Cocktail Week. The event has Lagos Ministry of Tourism and Sterling bank as sponsors.

The event kicked off on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, with a conference that outlined the shared principles of the partners, including drinking responsibly and, most importantly, appreciating Nigerians in all of their varied forms and flavours.

Following that, beginning from October 15 to 16, an intriguing cocktail village will be set up, allowing all guests to explore the nature of each brand and its essence.

Attendees will also get the chance to share these mouth-watering flavours with some of their favourite social media personalities. The cocktail village is a drink in and of itself, bringing together like-minded people and delicious flavours to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re feeling touristic, join the cocktail village’s bar crawl, which lets attendees visit various drink vendors and experience their bars.

Something more action-packed has been planned for thrill lovers: a bar battle between some of Lagos’ greatest mixologists. Bartenders will compete for the title of Best Bartender in Nigeria. This is the highlight of the week-long event and will bring the Lagos Cocktail Week to a close; you don’t want to miss it.
