Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he feels like the last man standing after managers Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers were sacked following a bad run in the Premier League.

On Sunday evening, Leicester City relieved Rodgers of his duties and Chelsea followed suit with Potter the same day.

Reacting to Potter’s sack, Klopp said at his pre-match press conference on Monday, ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League fixture against Chelsea, “What can I say about that?

“The elephant in the room is how I’m still sitting here in this crazy world. The last man standing!

“Both clubs aren’t in spots they expect to be, I can’t say much more. I know them both well, I respect them both, I like them both. They’re both really good people and fantastic managers.

“Things can go the wrong way and decision-makers think they need to change. We all accept this part of the business.”

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel has reacted to Chelsea’s decision to sack Potter after just replacing him in September last year.

Tuchel said he is not affected by Todd Boehly’s latest decision.

“I saw the news about Potter being sacked last night — it took me a while to process my dismissal.

“Chelsea has changed massively after that, so it affected me less,” Tuchel said.

The former Brighton coach was fired after a 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa leaving the Blues at 11th place on the Premier League table.
