Kanu Nwankwo, JayJay, Peter Rufai, Mutiu Adepoju, et al. to touch down in Lagos for Tinubu novelty match

Ex-Super Eagles players including Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Peter Rufai, Tijani Babangida, Mutiu Adepoju are set to thrill Lagosians in honour of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The ex-internationals are expected to play in a novelty match to celebrate Tinubu’s birthday coming up on March 29, 2022.

Other players who will be involved in the match include Garba Lawal, Julius Aghahowa, Victor Ikpeba, Uche Okechukwu, Ifeanyi Udeze, Taribo West, Victor Agali, Ike Shorunmu, Victor Ezeji, Obafemi Abiodun, Dosu Joseph, Jonathan.

The match is part of the build-up activities organized by the management and staff of the Tinubu Support Group, TSG, in collaboration with the Lagos state government ahead of Tinubu’s 70th birthday.

Prayer meetings will also take place simultaneously in the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

The match will be played between Ex-Super Eagles International Players and the Asiwaju Team at Onikan Stadium Lagos on March 20, 2022.

After the match, awards will also be presented to Bola Tinubu by ex-Super Eagles and Kanu Heart Foundation.

In a statement from TSG, it said: “The 13th Bola Tinubu Colloquium, an annual high-powered policy roundtable, is expected to add colour to the Birthday celebration and attract prominent Nigerians from all walks of life in preparation for what political pundits described as a remarkable watershed in the career of the man known to be wielding considerable influence on the political landscape of the country

“The colloquium and the above-listed TSG activities will mark the 70th birthday of the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Nigeria.”
