Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has made a return to social media following the Super Eagles loss to Côte d’Ivoire in the 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, final.
LagosPost reported that Iwobi deleted all his Instagram posts following criticism from the Nigerian fans on his performance at AFCON final.
The Nigerians were defeated 2-1 by the host country in the final, leaving the team with the silver medal and ending their dream of a fourth AFCON trophy.
The 27-year-old deleted all photos on his Instagram page hours after the match was played after some fans abused him in the comment section of the pictures.
However, the Fulham star received support from his teammates, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Ministry of Sports.
Iwobi also received support from his uncle and football legend, Jay-Jay Okocha.
Returning to Instagram, Iwobi shared a video on, giving his fans and followers a glimpse of what he had been up to in recent times.
The video contains a preview of an unreleased rap song.
