The candidate of the National Rescue Movement, Akinwunmi Braithwaite, has denied withdrawing from Saturday’s governorship election in Lagos.
Braithwaite, who also stated that he had not endorsed any candidate ahead of the election, said the happiness of Lagosians and the emergence of a more humane society remained his topmost priority.
This was conveyed in a statement issued by the Akinwunmi Braithwaite Campaign Organisation made available on Tuesday.
The statement read in part: “Akinwunmi Braithwaite is happy to continue representing those Lagosians that are passionate about the people-centred agenda that he represents.”
