Hon. Adesina highlighted the significance of this gesture, explaining that the provision of a dedicated bus would assist the Baales in attending official functions across the local government.
“This initiative is intended not only to ease their mobility but to enhance their standing within the community, underscoring the respect they hold as traditional leaders,” he stated.
The announcement was met with enthusiasm by the Baales, with Chief Olukayode Olomo, the Baale of Ojogbe, expressing his gratitude.
Chief Olomo noted that the bus would enable Baales to attend events together, in their traditional attire, while embodying the dignity and unity expected of their roles.
“There is no program organised by the local government that I do not attend,” Chief Olomo remarked, “so it is fitting for the council boss to support us with a bus to convey the Baales to these events in an executive manner.”
He commended Hon. Adesina’s commitment to the traditional institution, adding that the bus would help strengthen ties between the council and the traditional leaders.
The provision of this official vehicle marks another step by Hon. Adesina towards fostering respect for the traditional institution in Ikorodu, enhancing the role of Baales in community activities and reaffirming their respected status.
