Prof Ifeoma Linda Utomi, a renowned orthodontist, will deliver her inaugural lecture at the University of Lagos on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, taking the academic community on a journey through the realm of dental care.
Prof. Utomi will give a talk titled “Beauty, Braces, and Being: Restoring the Smile, Transforming the Life” to inform her colleagues and the general public about her research into the relationship between dental care and physical and emotional well-being.
Ifeoma Linda Utomi is a professor of orthodontics and a consultant orthodontist at the University of Lagos’ College of Medicine’s Department of Dental Health, Faculty of Dentistry.
As a part of Oral Health and Dental Management, Prof Utomi focuses on early treatment and on special needs individuals.
She graduated from the University of Lagos in 1984 with a degree in medicine (dentistry). In 1999, Professor Ifeoma Utomi was awarded a fellowship by the West African College of Surgeons.
As a lecturer, senior lecturer, and Associate Professor, she has experience in teaching, research, and training.
Ifeoma Utomi has supervised numerous undergraduate and graduate students. She is a member of the Nigerian Orthodontists Association, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the American Orthodontists Association.
Ifeoma Linda Utomi is married to Prof Pat Utomi and has five children with him.
