Hon. Farouk Mohammed Lawan, a four-term member of the House of Representatives for the Bagwai/Shanono Federal Constituency of Kano State, has expressed deep gratitude to Allah after being released from the Kuje Custodial Centre.
The prominent Nigerian politician took to social media to thank Almighty Allah for seeing him through what he described as a challenging chapter in his life.
Lawan, who served in the House of Representatives since 1999, posted a heartfelt message of appreciation to his family, friends, and associates who supported him during his ordeal.
In his statement, titled “I Thank Almighty Allah”, Lawan repeatedly expressed gratitude to Allah for his good health and high spirits upon his release.
“Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah,” Lawan began, acknowledging his faith as the foundation of his resilience.
He expressed how thankful he was to be alive and in good health, particularly cherishing the opportunity to reunite with his family and loved ones after his time in custody.
Lawan’s message reflected his indebtedness to those who stood by him throughout this challenging period.
He said, “I remain grateful and indebted to my family and friends who stood by me through this particularly trying phase of my life. May Allah SWT bless you.”
The statement was signed from Abuja on 22 October 2024, marking the beginning of what Lawan calls “a new chapter” in his life.
