HESED has launched a suite of apps to improve Nigeria’s education sector, providing access to past questions, school management, and easy billing.
In a bid to transform Nigeria’s education landscape, HESED Learning and Development Limited has launched a suite of innovative applications tailored to meet the unique needs of students, teachers, schools, and parents.
Known as HESED SMS and HESED PQ, these applications aim to provide quality and affordable education resources, creating a more connected, accessible, and efficient educational environment for Nigerian families.
HESED’s Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Odu, emphasised the company’s commitment to accessible quality education for all Nigerian children.
“Our mission is to bridge the gap in Nigeria’s education sector by offering comprehensive, innovative solutions that cater to schools, teachers, students, and parents,” he stated.
Through this mission, HESED has introduced two flagship products—HESED School Management System (HESED SMS) and HESED Past Questions (HESED PQ)—which promise to streamline school operations and enhance learning through digital tools.
The HESED SMS platform is a robust, all-in-one school management system designed to simplify administrative processes and improve communication among stakeholders. With HESED SMS, schools can manage resources, results, fees, and announcements seamlessly.
Key features include resource management, staff and student oversight, fee tracking, exam and assessment administration, as well as a module for parent-teacher communication.
It even allows parents to track their children’s academic progress, pay bills online, and stay updated on important announcements.
Additional features, like fee reminders and an Exeat module to monitor student movement, strengthen the app’s role in supporting schools, teachers, and parents alike.
Meanwhile, the HESED PQ app provides students with access to an extensive library of past questions to aid exam preparation.
With over 30,000 interactive questions covering 30 years of SSCE and UTME past exams, the app provides an effective and accessible study resource for secondary students.
Each subject in the app includes 5,000 questions, complete with answers and expert commentary to guide students through the correct responses, supporting independent and effective learning.
Odu highlighted that these practice questions are designed in line with both the national curriculum and international best practices, ensuring that students receive high-quality, curriculum-aligned resources.
The HESED PQ app is accessible on a variety of devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, making it easy for students to learn on the go.
Students can access their results, receive personalised feedback, and stay informed on school announcements, further enhancing their educational experience through continuous engagement and support.
Matthew Odu, a Chartered Accountant and entrepreneur, underscored the app’s potential to modernise the learning process, saying, “We combine expert online tuition with proven learning techniques to provide high-quality, world-class learning materials.”
Teachers can also leverage HESED SMS to manage assignments, schedule tasks, and deliver online lessons, enabling a more personalised and responsive learning experience for students.
