The Health Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has approved the reopening of Vedic Lifecare Hospital.
The decision came after the hospital completed registration and obtained the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria’s delayed practising licenses for three of its expatriate workers (MDCN).
These professionals have 20 to 30 years of international experience and add to the hospital’s unparalleled expertise in surgery, gynaecology, and internal medicine.
“We would want to underline our dedication to great service delivery and the strict observation of the highest professional standards,” stated Dr Tosan Omaghomi, Head of Operations at Vedic Lifecare Hospital, in response to the resumption of operations.
“We would also like to assure members of the public that as healthcare providers, we are steadfast in observing the cardinal values of our profession and the well-being of every patient that walks through our doors is and will always be our topmost priority.”
Tosan also expressed his gratitude to the regulatory agencies for their unwavering support and commitment to ensure that the best practices in medical practice are maintained.
“We are also thankful to the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, officers of the MDCN, HEFAMAA, the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Indian High Commission to Nigeria for the tremendous support they have provided to the positive steps taken by our hospital to comply with the statutory requirements stated by HEFAMAA in making the reopening of our hospital possible,” he said.
He also reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to provide better service and healthcare to all of its patients.
He went on to say that all of the company’s 17 doctors’ licenses had been reviewed and that they were qualified and licensed to practice in Nigeria.
