GOCOP hails Edo Governor for appointing Collins Edomaruse as Special Adviser on International Development Partners, citing his expertise.
The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has commended Edo State Governor, Mr. Monday Okpebholo, for appointing Mr. Collins Edomaruse as the Special Adviser on International Development Partners (IDP).
GOCOP President and Publisher of RealNews Online, Ms. Maureen Chigbo, lauded the move as a strategic and positive development, expressing confidence in Edomaruse’s leadership and expertise.
In a statement issued by GOCOP’s Publicity Secretary, Ogbuefi Remmy Nweke, Chigbo congratulated Edomaruse and assured him of the guild’s unwavering support, backed by its 110+ members.
Edomaruse, who is currently serving his second term as GOCOP General Secretary, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
A founding member of GOCOP, he is also a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of METROWATCH.
Edomaruse held senior editorial positions, including Group News Editor, Group Politics Editor, and Deputy Editor for daily, Saturday, and Sunday titles.
He also served as the Editor for the Nation’s Capital/Abuja Bureau, earning a stellar reputation as a master of the Defence Beat, where his records remain unbeaten.
Governor Okpebholo’s decision to appoint Edomaruse is seen as a testament to his commitment to leveraging experienced professionals to drive international development initiatives in Edo State.
