Lagos State magistrates’ court in Ogba has ordered the remand of four individuals in connection with the murder of Kazeem Idowu Keshinro.

The defendants, Mukaila Salau (known as Actor), Tiyamiyu Ahmed, Wasiu Suleimon, and Ibrahim Ekemode, faced charges before Magistrate Lateef Owolabi.

The charges allege that on April 1, 2024, the suspects conspired to kill Idowu Keshinro at Otta Ikosi Agbowa in Lagos. This act is said to violate Sections 299 and 233 of the Criminal Laws Cap. Ch.Vol.3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The state counsel requested a remand order while awaiting advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for a formal arraignment at the high court. Magistrate Owolabi granted the request, ordering the suspects to be held at Kirikiri prison, with the case adjourned to October.

The victim, Keshinro, who was also a hunter, was reportedly ambushed and fatally attacked while hunting in Ikorodu. A video shows him bleeding profusely after being shot multiple times and macheted, allegedly on the orders of Salau, known for land grabbing.
