Former Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dr Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The five man Tribunal led by Justice Haruna Tsammani dismissed all cases filed against President Tinubu by the Presidential candidates of the PDP, Labour Party and the Allied Movement Party during the February 25th Election.
It therefore declared Tinubu as the duly elected President of the country.
Ikuforiji said the unanimous verdict by the Tribunal reconfirmed the overwhelming support of the President during the exercise.
The former Speaker however urged the leading candidates at the election to support President Tinubu towards the delivery of electioneering campaign promises to the people.
“It is in the interest of the nation that we should all support President Tinubu in his efforts to put the country on a sound footing for development and growth,” Ikuforiji said.
Ikuforiji served as Speaker of the Lagos State Assembly for a decade between 2005 and 2015, partly during the administrations of Bola Tinubu as the governor of Lagos and the Fashola administration.
