The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced Finidi George as the coach-in-charge of the Super Eagles for their Ghana and Mali friendly games during the international break.
Since Jose Peseiro’s contract ended on February 29, the Nigeria national team have been without gaffer.
This led the NFF to put out a notice requesting for applications for the vacant role.
However, in a post on the Super Eagles’ verified X handle, Finidi was announced to be in charge for the time being.
The post included an image of Finidi meeting with team officials, with the caption: “Coach George Finidi has held a meeting with Super Eagles team officials as he leads the Super Eagles in international friendlies against Ghana and Mali #SoarSuperEagles.”
