Spain have qualified for the final of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Spain played against Sweden in the semi-final of the tournament on Tuesday winning 2-1 to book a spot in the final.
La Roja defeated Blågult 2-1 in the semi-final encounter today to book a place in the Women’s World Cup final.
All recorded three goals came very late in the second half, with Salma Celeste Paralluelo Ayingono opening the score in the 81st minute before an equaliser from the Blue and Yellow ladies scored by Rebecka Blomqvist in the 88th minute.
However, Olga Carmona’s goal in the 89th minute secured the victory for the Spaniards at Eden Park.
This means Spain will wait for the game between Australia and England to know its opponent in the Women’s World Cup final this weekend.
