Federal allocation: Ogun least receiver, Lagos in top 5 receivers

The National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has revealed the states that receive the highest and least allocation from th federal government.

The NBS in a recent data revealed that Ogun, Cross River, Ekiti, Gombe, and Kwara states received the least federal allocation from the federal government between January and June 2024.

The data revealed that within the period in review, Ogun received the least allocation of N40 billion, Cross River got N40.1 billion, Ekiti was given N42.3 billion, Gombe had N42.8 billion, and Kwara got N44.3 billion.

The five states that received the highest allocations in the first six months of 2024 are Delta (N260.7 billion), Rivers (N197.2 billion), Akwa Ibom (N179.1 billion), Lagos (N161.1 billion) and Bayelsa (N157.7 billion).
