A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Shina Peller, has said the growing Nigerian youth and middle class population is a substantial consumer base for businesses to thrive.
A statement issued on Wednesday noted that Peller, the founder of Aquila Group, said this at the second edition of Turkiye-Nigeria Business and Investment Summit held recently in Lagos.
The ex=lawmaker also said Nigeria’s large natural resources offers great investment potential, adding that Nigerians just as the Turkish are resilient, focused, innovative, problem-solvers who adapt to situations easily.
He expressed concerns on the negative perception of Nigeria by many who have little or no knowledge about the country and, therefore, urged all Nigerians to re-write the country’s story positively and see it has a civic duty.
Recalled that Peller in October 2023, in his keynote address at the first edition of the summit held in Istanbul, Turkey, described Nigeria as a gateway to Africa’s world of creativity.
He urged Turkish entrepreneurs and investors to engage with the country’s growing market for remarkable Return on Investment (RoI).
