Organisers of Euro, UEFA have decided not to ban Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice following their dramatic 2-1 win over Slovakia at Euro 2024.

LagosPost reported that UEFA was investigating the crotch-grabbing gesture of the Real Madrid midfielder towards the Slovakia bench, after scoring the equaliser for England in the 95th minute in their Round of 16 game on Sunday.

The continental governing body said it reviewed the report from match officials and have instead opened disciplinary proceedings against the Three Lions for the lighting of fireworks and crowd disturbances.

Rice was also embroiled in a spat with opposition boss, Francesco Calzona.

But the duo have both been let off the hook.

A UEFA spokesperson told Mirror Football: “Following the review of the officials’ reports for ENG-SVK match, disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the English Football Association for lighting of fireworks and crowd disturbances.

“The CEDB will take a decision on this case in due course. No further proceedings were opened from this match.”
