Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, has been rewarded with a cash gift of N2.5 million for emerging as the overall best candidate in the just concluded 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Lagospost had earlier reported that Umeh emerged as the best candidate in the 2023 UTME, scoring 360 from the combined subjects she sat for.
It was confirmed by JAMB that Umeh scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English in the year’s UTME.
In a bid to encourage the student, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Erisco Foods Limited, Dr Eric Umeofia, announced a cash gift to the young girl.
During a chat with journalists on Friday (today), Umeofia said he was moved by the student’s interview on Arise TV.
