Enyimba head coach Stanley Eguma has dedicated the team’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Mozambique’s Black Bulls in the CAF Confederation Cup to Nigerians, calling it a perfect New Year gift.

The People’s Elephant, as the team is fondly called, secured their first group-stage win of the competition on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The two-time African champions dominated the Group D clash, with standout performances from Joseph Atule, who scored twice, and additional goals from Ifeanyi Ihemekwele and veteran Brown Ideye.
