Popular Nigeria singer, Davido, has in a recent interview shared more details on his wealthy background. The Risky crooner stated that he had no idea his father was a rich man until he was around 13 years old.
In the interview with earnyourleisure, Davido noted that his billionaire father drove a Honda Accord at the time, and his mother drove a simple car.
According to Davido, his father is so humble and modest with the way he spends and goes about his business.
The star says his father lived a modest and humble life despite being a billionaire. He also added that while growing up till about the age of 11, he wasn’t really close with his father because he was all about work.
Davido also stated that he didn’t even know his father was rich till he was about 13 because he lived so normally.
The music star added that his father was a billionaire driving a Honda.
Speaking about his father, Davido said: “Even till date he is still so humble and modest with the way he spends, the way he goes about his business, the way he handles his business is still amazing to me. “Growing up in my younger days till I was 11, I wasn’t really close to my dad because he was all about work. I remember him coming home late everyday building something. I didn’t know what he was doing.
“I didn’t even know we were rich until like 13 because he lived so normally. He was a billionaire driving a Honda. He had a silver Honda Accord, he had a driver, my mum had like a Toyota or so or a Honda truck. They lived so modestly until we moved out of the house to the new house. So we got to the new house and I’m like ‘oh we lit!’.”
