Atedo Peterside, Nigerian entrepreneur and Head of ANAP Foundation, has said that congratulating the President-elect, Bola Tinubu is premature.
During an appearance on Arise TV on Tuesday, Peterside stated he would only congratulate whoever the legal process proves to be the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
According to him, what has been uploaded as the election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is an insult.
“If they go through this process and the judges convince us everything was done correctly and we add up the numbers, whoever is the winner, I will congratulate the person.
“But for it’s premature. I mean, when I can see with my own eyes what INEC has uploaded.
“Part of what they’ve uploaded is an insult to anybody’s intelligence…
“People who are rushing to congratulate probably have not taken the trouble to even look at the available information or the evidence”, Peterside said.
