Reports say Chelsea is planning to make a formal approach for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen when the January transfer window opens.
Although Chelsea are not wanting in strikers, injury and below par performance have plagued their major forwards, which includes Nicolas Jackson, Armando Broja and Christopher Nkunku.
This has led manager Mauricio Pochettino to try to add to the Blues’ attacking line.
Telegraph reports that Pochettino has identified Osimhen as his priority target should the club take the decision to try to sign a new frontman.
Osimhen was instrumental in his club’s Serie A victory last season, scoring 19 goals.
