The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Dr Ognonnaya Onu has declared his interest to join the long list of presidential aspirants under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The minister, who announced his interest at an event in Abuja on Friday, said he purposely delayed his disclosure until Nigerians return from the festivities, considering the importance of his ambition.
Dr Ogbonna Onu was born on the 1st of December, 1951.
In 1991, Dr Onu was elected the first Governor of old Abia State. He was the first Chairman, of the Conference of Nigerian elected Governors. During his tenure as Governor, he emphasized the use of technology as an important instrument for national development by starting the processes for the establishment of a Technology Village, as well as introducing computers into selected public schools.
