Residents of Lagos State on Monday hit the streets to protest against the increased economic hardship in the country.
LagosPost learnt that a human rights group known as the ‘Take It Back Movement’ organised the protest.
The protesters were seen carrying placards with various inscriptions expressing their grievances, at the Ojuelegba Under Bridge area of the state.
The Lagos State Police Command had warned residents against engaging in any protest that would disturb the peace of the state.
Recall that the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC also planned a mass protest scheduled for February 27 and 28.
