It has been confirmed that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will become the head coach of Brazil for the Copa América in the USA next summer.
The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, made the announcement while appointing Fluminense boss Fernando Diniz as the team’s interim coach for the next 12 months.
He said: “His (Diniz) game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa América, Ancelotti.
“We don’t call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti.”
The 64-year-old has coached some players from the Brazil squad at the Santiago Bernabéu including Rodrygo Goes, Vinicius Junior and Eder Militao
