Boniface benched as Lookman leads Super Eagles in Benin clash

The starting line-up is out for the Super Eagles clash against Benin Republic in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The highly anticipated international will be played at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Ivory Coast by 5pm WAT today.

Head coach Finidi George benched Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface while picking Terem Moffi and Ademola Lookman to spearhead the attack.

The Cheetahs of Benin Republic are coached by former Nigerian coach, Gernot Rohr.

The Super Eagles take to the field with the following lineup:

Goalkeeper: Nwabali

Defenders: Bassey, Tanimu, Ajayi, Osayi-Samuel

Midfielders: Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi

Attackers: Chukwueze, Lookman, Moffi

The substitutes include; Iheanacho, Boniface, Onuachu, Abdullahi, Dele-Bashiru, Onyeka Awaziem, Olawoyin, Igboke, Ismaila, Okoye (GK) and Ojo (GK).
