Body of 21-year-old who jumped into Lagos Lagoon found

The body of Olalekan Odunare, a 21-year-old man who jumped into a lagoon at Epe in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, has been found.

His body was found on Thursday, December 16.

LagosPost had earlier reported the circumstances surrounding the viral video showing Olalekan sitting on the handrail of Berger Bridge before suddenly jumping into the Lagoon.

The Ordinary National Diploma (OND) holder is survived by his father whom he called to pray for him in the early hours of Tuesday, siblings, one of which saw the viral video and alerted his father and a one-year-old baby.

Olalekan was said to be a holder of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate and a worker at Alaro City, a mega estate along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

A source had said Olalekan died a few months after his older sister, a student of the Lagos State University (LASU), slumped and died during an examination in school.
