Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham on Sunday surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s first 15 games record at Los Blancos after scoring in their 3-0 La Liga win over Cadiz.
With 16 minutes to go at the Santiago Bernabeu, Bellingham scored a goal for Madrid, breaking the Al Nassr captain record of with 14 goals in 15 appearances.
Since his £88.5m move to Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the England international has made an immediate impact and he has now become the only player in Real Madrid’s history to score more than 13 goals in their first 15 games.
Ronaldo who also enjoyed a smooth sail at Real Madrid in 2009, after his £80m move from Manchester United, held the record of 13 goals in his first 15 appearances in all competitions, equalling the club’s former players Alfredo Di Stefano in 1953 and Pruden in 1943.
However, Bellingham’s latest achievement also puts him ahead of other former Real Madrid stars, including Ferenc Puskas (11 goals) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (9 goals).
