Bayern Munich have decided to part ways with manager, Thomas Tuchel, at the end of the season.
This comes following the club’s disastrous run of form in the past few weeks and the likelihood of not winning the Bundesliga for the first time since 2013.
In a statement on Bayern’s website on Wednesday, the club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, said: “In an open, good conversation, we came to the decision to mutually end our collaboration in the summer.”
Bayern lost 3-0 to league leaders Bayern Leverkusen, lost 1-0 to Lazio in the Champions League and also lost 3-2 to VFL Bochum on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel has also confirmed his departure from the Bavarian.
The decision was made by both club and head coach, Tuchel.
Tuchel told reporters on Tuesday, “We have agreed that we will end our collaboration after the end of this season.
“Until then, my coaching staff and I will of course continue to do everything we can to ensure maximum success for FC Bayern.”
Tuchel will now depart Bayern Munich in the summer.
