Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has surpassed Sir Alex Ferguson as the coach with the most UEFA Champions League wins, after his team’s 3-0 victory over Braga.
Goals from Brahim Diaz, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo sealed the win for Real Madrid over Braga at Santiago Bernabéu.
With the victory, Ancelotti now has 116 wins in the Champions League and Madrid have also qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
According to Relevo, the record was previously joint-held by Ancelotti and legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who both had 115.
However, with Real Madrid’s victory over Braga, Ancelotti has edged over to hold the record outright.
Ancelotti whose contract with Los Blancos ends at the end of the season won the Champions League with Real Madrid two seasons ago.
