The Central Bank of Nigeria has once again postponed the meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, even as inflation keeps soaring in the country.

The CBN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Dr Isa Abdulmumin on Monday said, “MPC is not holding” according to Bloomberg.

This is the second time the MPC meeting is being rescheduled since tge ascent of Olayemi Cardoso as governor of the CBN in September.

With the latest postponement, investors and analysts will have to wait to know Cardoso’s approach to the surging inflation, which according to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics, NBS, hits 27.33 per cent in October 2023.
