Nigeria, South Africa and Algeria are currently in a tough battle for second position at the ongoing 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.
According to the official medals table released on Tuesday morning by the organisers, Nigeria currently occupy second position with 27 gold, 21 silver and 30 bronze medals.
In third position is South Africa with 26 gold, 29 silver and 38 bronze medals.
Followed by Algeria in fourth position with 22 gold, 31 silver and 37 bronze medals.
The three countries are expected to continue their fight for supremacy in different events today.
Far up in first position is Team Egypt with 91 gold, 36 silver and 31 bronze medals.
