As of Tuesday morning, Egypt currently tops the medal standings with a total of 84 medals (47 golds, 19 silvers and 18 bronzes).
In second place is Nigeria with 41 medals (16 golds, 10 silvers, and 15 bronzes).
The Egyptians and Nigerians have shown impressive performances across various events.
In third place is Algeria with 15 golds, 20 silvers and 20 bronzes.
Fourth place is South Africa with 12 golds, 15 silvers and 22 bronzes.
Mauritius in fifth place with 3 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze.
To complete the top ten are Madagascar, Tunisia, Morocco, Uganda and Ghana respectively.
Others in the list from 11th position to 20th position are Namibia, Zimbabwe, Libya, Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Angola, Republic of the Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burkina Faso.
