AFCON 2023: Super Eagles camp opens ahead of Guinea-Bissau qualifier clash

On Monday, the camp for the Super Eagles 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Guinea-Bissau opened in Abuja with six players already present.

The players already at the team’s John Woods Hotel base are Everton winger, Alex Iwobi, Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, Southampton midfielder, Joe Aribo, Bromwich Albion defender, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman and 1899 Hoffenheim defender, Kevin Akpoguma.

17 more players are expected at the camp as the Super Eagles hold their first training session by 5 pm today at the practice pitch of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

The first fixture will is slated for the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday.

The second leg will be played at the 24 de Setembro National Stadium, Bissau on Monday, March 27.
