A 19-year-old woman, Fatimo Agboke, has been arrested for the alleged stabbing of her neighbour’s son, Farouk Azeez.
This incident occurred in the Ijegun area of Lagos last Monday night.
The quarrel reportedly escalated when Agboke and Azeez, aged 20, had a heated argument. During the altercation, Agboke allegedly grabbed a broken bottle and stabbed Azeez in the neck.
Emergency services attempted to revive Azeez, but he died en route to the hospital. The police received a report of the incident and quickly arrived at the scene.
Officers found Azeez’s body lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut on his neck. His remains were taken to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for an autopsy.
The suspect, Agboke, has been detained, and police investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the stabbing.
