14 Lagos permanent secretaries retire from service


A total of fourteen permanent secretaries from Lagos state civil service, Wednesday were retired.

According to the Nation, Head of Service, Olabode Agoro, noted that the ceremony was organized to appreciate God for the gift of life given in good health.

The Pens Down ceremony in honour of the retirees was held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa.

Agoro explained that the 14 permanent secretaries being celebrated in retirement “have been found worthy in recognition of their commendable service and record of outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the public service.”

The HoS lauded them for their meritorious service just as he appreciated their doggedness, commitment, dedication, loyalty and sacrifice throughout their career, and for their good working relationship displayed during their service years.

The retirees include Nathan-Marsh Oyinade, Okelola Oludara Oyebisi, Abiodun Bamgboye, Ogunnubi Timothy Olukayode, Olajide Charles Adeboye, Fashola Simone Olayinka, Patunola-Ajayi, Olayinka Linda, Amuni Abayomi Mustapha, Dapo-Thomas, Boladele Aderemi, Kilanko Asisat Olaperi, Dr Onasanya Olayiwole Shakiru, Engr. Daramola Olufemi Olubunmi, Adewuyi Moshood Adewale and Emokpae Olatokunbo Ibironke.

Permanent Secretary in the Public Service Office, Sunkanmi Oyegbola, felicitated the retirees for their meritorious and unblemished retirement.

Abiodun Bamgboye, who spoke on behalf of other retirees, commended the government for allowing them to serve, urging those still in active service not to look back but ensure they contribute their quota to improve the lot of the state and humanity.
