The PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar who is currently challenging the election victory of President Bola Tinubu at the Supreme Court, has condemned President Tinubu’s administration’s new move of appointing five new media aides, noting more aides won’t save the president
Tinubu’s new appointment, according to the former vice president, is proof that the government intends to “unleash a propaganda unit.”
The PDP chieftain stated, “Tinubu’s appointment of more media aides, would not save the president’s “sinking” reputation.”
“Not even a thousand media aides can save the reputation of President Bola Tinubu, which is currently drowning in scandals.”
On Monday, October 9, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Relations, Phrank Shaibu, said the appointments confirmed that the Tinubu administration was about to unleash a propaganda unit.
Tinubu on Monday approved the establishment of a new media directorate and the employment of five new aides, according to presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale.
“Not even a thousand media aides can save the reputation of President Bola Tinubu, which is currently drowning in scandals,” Shaibu remarked.
He went on to say that the appointments were a validation of his 18 September speech, in which he indicated that Tinubu’s government was about to launch a propaganda unit.
“They can only like the character, Squealer, in Animal Farm, succeed at increasing the quantities of food available to the community only on paper”, he added further.
